Radio: Self-image & Enthusiasm
In the sales world we're taught the last four letters of Enthusiasm
- IASM stands for I am sold myself. Any good salesperson knows
that it's difficult to sale any product, at least with any integrity, if
you're not sold yourself.
How much are you sold on you? Did you know it will be difficult for you to
see a lot of the wonderful things in life until you're really sold on yourself?
I've met folks who won't go to a banquet, apply for a job, ask someone on a
date, or even attempt to grow internally because they're simply not sold on
themselves.
I've met others who go for it! Sure, they may get knocked down, come in last,
or even fail to finish but they're not afraid. They're confident enough in
themselves to be willing to fail. They're enthusiasm helps overcome fear.
Have you ever noticed the people who give you the most problems are those
with the lowest self-image? They're not too enthused about themselves. Or
they have an over-inflated ego which is an outer sign of a poor self-image.
How about you, do people want to be around you because they know you're
enthusiastic about you? Next time you look in the mirror ask yourself this
question, Am I sold on myself? If you are, you'll be able to say again and
again I was born to win!
