Radio: Remembering Our Freedom
Does the number 1,315,000 mean anything to you? It's the price of freedom, not in millions or even trillions of dollars, but in human sacrifice. From the year 1775 in the War of Independence to the current Iraq War, you and I have been spared life and freedom. Like yourself, I am very grateful and honored to call myself an American. This Monday's radio show was a special tribute for Memorial Day. Hear from several soldiers and why they serve.

Our radio show discusses the good, the clean, the pure, and the positve. If you have an issue or story that shares some positve light or one that needs some postive light, please email radio@iwasborntowin.com or call

Inspiration: The Civil War abolished slavery in 1861. According to the US Census Bureau, by 1870 final slave count was down to zero. What a time of celebration! Before we throw the confetti I have a discovery to share. Unfortunately the Census was only partially correct. As difficult as it was for me to handle, right here in the US, I actually met a slave about ten years ago. It was pitiful and quite scary.
He wanted to be free so badly but his master had total control over him. No matter what I said or what we tried, I simply couldn't help him. The deeper I dug into this hidden tragedy the more I was shocked to learn that he knew of others. I tried many times to confront his master but continued to be unsuccessful. I even turned the master over to the law a couple times but nothing worked. I could not rightfully allow this to happen but my days were being consumed by constant arguing and fighting with one or the other.
After many failed attempts, and seven years of misery, I was finally able to help free the slave. It was only possible by getting both the slave and the master together, at a specific place, to deal with and respect each other face to face. The specific place was my mirror. The slave and master I've been discussing was myself.
Today we have more slaves than we've ever had but they're extremely hard to find. Our inner master manipulates our inner slave and keeps us full of denial and fear. It's the inner struggle that the Apostle Paul talked about in the end of Romans chapter seven.
Until I was ready to face and discipline the master in the mirror, I used pornography, alcohol, sex, drugs, and money as mini masters. Or anything else that would keep me away from reality and the dreaded pain of looking in the mirror. Have you looked in the mirror lately? Have you asked yourself what you're afraid of? Whatever your fears, slavery isn't worth it. Over 620,000 people died in the Civil War in order to abolish slavery but those figures pale in comparison to the dying hearts of today. You and I have the freedom to abolish inner slavery. Undisciplined freedom equals slavery. The person in the mirror can help you be that disciplined winner you were born to be! Today you can use your God given abilities to learn more about you and take full advantage of the freedom we so gratefully have available. Start living more today.
Knock'em alive,
James
Joke: Fried Eggs His wife stared at him. "What in the world is wrong with you? You think I don't know how to fry a couple of eggs?" "Yes", The husband calmly replied, "I just wanted to show you what it feels like when I'm driving."
Blog: Stimulus Check
Have you gotten yours yet? Thus far, most people who talk about the stimulus checks have negative things to say (imagine that). When I get my check I will certainly use it to pay some bills. Some have said that Bill Gates makes so much money that it wouldn't be worth it for him to stop and take the time to reach down and pick up a $1000 if he dropped it.
I expect you would stop and pick up one dollar, and certainly $600. Why people insist on being negative about $600 is beyond me. But i've learned that some people find fault like there's a reward for it. You know, some people are so negative they think someone may have actually pushed Humpty Dumpty off of the wall!
For us winners I'm certain we are pleased to get the $600 and will put it to good use. Gratitude is one of the healthiest of all human emotions. What do you plan to do with your stimulus check?
